Who are we?
GMI Consulting was founded in 2012 with the aim of providing strategic solutions to our clients; combining technical, scientific and legal knowledge in social matters to achieve their investment objectives throughout the country. It is the first Consulting Firm in Mexico specialized in social management and in applying the best international practices in the field.
In 2015 it was recognized by Consultoría Magazine as one of the most important consulting companies in Mexico, and in 2018 it won the COBA Award (CANCHAM Outstanding Business Award) granted by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, for having developed a legal-anthropological methodology for the social management of mega projects.
Among our clients are large, medium and small companies in the mining, hydrocarbons, renewable energy, real estate development and infrastructure construction sectors, who have put in our hands the consolidation of their investment projects.
Work Methodology
All our work adheres to international best practices in social management, corporate social responsibility, and human rights and business.
We start from the detailed analysis of the social impacts that the construction and operation of an investment project can generate, and of the social conditions of the potentially affected people and communities, paying special attention to people or groups in vulnerable situations.
We identify the risks and potential conflicts for the development of the project, and depending on the results we provide alternatives adapted to the particular needs of our clients from the sociological and anthropological point of view, framed in legal criteria in accordance with the international instruments ratified by Mexico in the matter and the judgments of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation applicable.
We have experience working in all the states of the country, and the flexibility and capacity of our network of experts allows us to tackle a project in any of its implementation phases, from planning to operation, in any state of the Mexican Republic.
