Social management systems: impact programs, social investment, and shared social benefits
Design and implementation
We incorporate impact measures into social management programs with defined activities, objectives, compliance indicators, and responsibles.
In the event that it is not possible to prevent or mitigate the negative impacts of a project, we design compensation measures that are integrated into social investment programs or shared social benefits according to the magnitude of the negative impacts that the project will generate.
We include culturally appropriate communication and linkage mechanisms with potentially affected communities to report on the progress of the project and the implementation of the various social and environmental programs. In the same way, we design Complaint Attention Systems with limited response times and communication channels according to the analog and technological tools used by the community, which allow an efficient and effective response to any complaint presented.
In GMI Consulting we have specialized personnel for the implementation of Social Management Systems for all types of investment projects anywhere in the Mexican Republic.
Audits
We carry out performance audits of our clients’ Social Management Systems, both from the internal operational point of view and from the affected communities, with the aim of validating the effectiveness of the different programs implemented and making the pertinent improvements.
In the case of projects in the mining sector, audits may include verifying compliance with international standards such as the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA) Standard. For the palm sector we include the verification of compliance with the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) guidelines.
Integration of compliance reports
We integrate compliance reports on social management, corporate social responsibility, and human rights and companies for authorities and investors.
